Regina Song featured on Times Square Billboard in New York City

as part of Spotify’s EQUAL music campaign

ZETIZENS.ID – Singaporean singer-songwriter Regina Song is now featuring on the prestigious Times Square billboard in New York City, after being chosen to be a part of Spotify’s EQUAL music campaign.

The global campaign was launched by Spotify in 2021 to amplify and celebrate the work of women creators around the world. Since then, EQUAL has shined a spotlight on women in audio through global partnerships, activations, new content experiences, and on- and off-platform support.

“I’ve been dreaming of this moment forever. Now that I’m finally up on the New York Times Square Billboard, I can say I’ve visited New York!” said Regina Song.

“So much love for Spotify, I’ll never ever forget this. Here’s to empowering women more each and every day.”

Other Singaporean artists who have previously featured for the EQUAL music campaign include Iman Fandi in 2024, Shazza in 2023, Stefanie Sun in 2022 and Jasmine Sokko in 2021.

Regina Song is a 21-year-old Singaporean artist who is among the most-streamed Singaporean artists on Spotify in 2024, with her single ‘the cutest pair’ gaining over 48 million streams since its release in June 2024.

The song has also appeared across many prestigious playlists over the past weeks, including charting top on Spotify’s “Viral 50 – Global” playlist.

Regina Song was also selected as Spotify’s 2024 RADAR artist, and since releasing her popular debut album fangirl, she has played multiple shows in Singapore, as well as a sold-out Southeast Asia tour in January 2025 which took her across major cities in the region, including Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila.

Regina also took part in Wanderland Festival in March 2025, the largest music festival in the Philippines, and will next be at Indonesia’s LaLaLa Fest, an international music festival alongside the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Camila Cabello.

Regina Song was also the only Singaporean nominee for the inaugural Music Awards Japan in 2025, being nominated for the “Best Song Asia” award alongside K-pop group aespa. (Sobri)
